Hyundai to take on Tata with new SUVs
The SUV segment is growing at a rapid pace. Other segments like sedans and hatchbacks are getting affected due to this changing trend. Carmakers know this and that’s why they are planning to launch multiple SUVs in India. Hyundai as a carmakers is focused on launching SUVs in India to increase its market share. Hyundai recently lost its title as the ‘second largest automotive manufacturer of India’ to Tata. COVID-19 combined with the global chip shortage issue are being counted as the biggest reasons behind this. In this article, we will discuss three upcoming SUVs from Hyundai that are expected very soon this year.
2022 Hyundai Venue
The Hyundai Venue has been a very popular SUV in the sub-four-metre segment. With that being said, the Venue has not received any major updates since its launch in 2019. Hyundai is currently testing its facelift in South Korea. The 2022 Hyundai Venue is expected to get a complete design revamp with an updated grille and tail lamp design. It is also expected to get features like ventilated seats and a heads-up display unit. The launch of the 2022 Hyundai Venue is expected somewhere in the second half of this year.
With the updated Venue coming soon, Hyundai could take on the Tata Nexon more easily, the major factor behind Tata overtaking Hyundai in the sales charts.
2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular cars in its segment in India. The car has cemented Hyundai’s growth in India. The Hyundai Creta had been the best performing SUV in India for a long time but with the entry of new products, the Creta now needs something extra to reclaim the top spot. With the launch of new products like the MG Astor and the Mahindra XUV700, the competition has just heated up.
Hyundai recently launched the Creta facelift in Indonesia. The 2022 Creta gets a Tucson-like front grille. Hyundai will also add features like ADAS on the 2022 Creta facelift. This will help Creta take on its competitors with ease. The 2022 Hyundai Creat is expected to be launched in India just before the festive season this year.
2022 Hyundai Tucson
At present, the Tucson is the most premium offering in India from the brand. The Hyundai Tucson received a generation update in 2020 for global markets. Hyundai is testing the new-generation Tucson in India. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson gets a futuristic design with comfortable interiors. It will come loaded with features that offer comfort and convenience. Hyundai is also in news to start production of the Tucson locally. This will help in placing the Tucson at a competitive price against other SUVs that are present in the segment. The new-generation Hyundai Tucson is expected to be launched in mid-2022.
