All-new Maruti Vitara Brezza – best option for new buyers?
Maruti is a popular brand that rules the automobile sector in India. In 2016, they had launched Vitara Brezza, a compact SUV that soon became popular. This SUV is still performing well when it comes to sales figures. The SUV faces fierce competition from other competitors like Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300 but fails to budge. Safety, Platform, and Specifications
Vitara Brezza had managed to score a four-star safety rating at the Global NCAP testing. The all-new Vitara Brezza will be built on the Heartect platform making it even safer. The SUV is expected to get six airbags to add to its safety. Before BS6 emission norms came into implementation, the Vitara Brezza was available with a diesel engine as well. Currently, the car comes with a K15B ISG 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103bhp & 138Nm of torque.
The car gets the option of choosing between a manual and an automatic transmission. We expect a petrol engine with a proper hybrid system. At present, the VXi SHVS variant of Vitara Brezza gets a mild hybrid setup that keeps the electrical equipment in the car such as the music system and various lights functioning when the engine is turned off at a traffic signal. A proper hybrid system will help in the propulsion of the car and overall improve the mileage of the car.
Features and Design
When it comes to design, Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to get a greatly revamped design while retaining its boxy looks. The car is expected to get all new body panels. Currently, the car gets 16-inch wheels. The all-new Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to get newly designed alloy wheels. Newly designed sleeker LED projector headlamps and new LED tail lamps are also set to make their way to the car along with new bumpers.
The interiors of this SUV will also get major updates. The all-new Vitara Brezza is expected to get a newly designed dashboard layout with a floating touchscreen infotainment system. The interiors will also get new upholstery with more soft touchpoints and improved storage space. The all-new Vitara Brezza is also expected to get more connected car features.
Launch
The all-new Maruti Vitara Brezza was expected to launch by November 2021 around the festive season. The launch got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing microchip shortage.
