We first saw the Hyundai Verna in India back in 2006. The car has seen its share of ups and downs. The midsized sedan faces stiff competition from other brands in this segment. Hyundai is working on a new generation Verna to stay updated and face the competition. In this article, we will discuss five things that will defiantly come on the new Hyundai Verna.

New Design

The new generation Hyundai Verna will get an overall update. The new design language of Hyundai coined as ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ will be prominent in the new generation Verna. The Sedan will get an all-new headlight, DRL, and taillight designs. Also, the front grille will be all new and bigger.

Digital Cockpit

Hyundai Creta

At present, the Hyundai Creta gets an all-digital instrument cluster. A lot of recently launched mid-sized sedans have started offering fully digital instrument clusters. We expect Hyundai to offer a fully digital instrument cluster with customizable options in the new generation Verna.

Four-Disc Brakes

Disc brake

Recently some cars have started offering all four disc brakes as an improved safety feature. Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Mahindra XUV300 are some of the SUVs that offer all four disc brakes. We expect Hyundai to provide this additional safety feature of all four disc brakes in the new generation Verna as well.

Long Wheelbase

Verna long wheel base

The new generation Hyundai Verna will be seen with revised dimensions. This means the overall length of the car will surely increase. This increase in length is also expected to be seen in the wheelbase. With an increased wheelbase, the cabin space is also expected to increase significantly. The second row of current generation Verna did lack space and this issue will be rectified in the new generation with improved cabin space.

1.4 Turbo Petrol Engine

1.4-litre turbo petrol

We expect the new generation Hyundai Verna to get the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that is offered in the Creta. This engine will be offered with an automatic DCT transmission. This engine produces 138bhp and 242Nm of torque. This will make the new generation Verna more performance-oriented for enthusiast car buyers.
