The Hyundai Venue is 3995mm in length, 1770mm in width, 1605mm in height with a wheelbase of 2500mm, and ground clearance of 195mm. Whereas the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is 3995mm in length, 1790mm in width, 1640mm in height with a similar wheelbase of 2500mm, and ground clearance of 198mm. The Vitara Brezza seems to be bigger than the Venue when it comes to width and height. The Hyundai Venue has a bigger boot space at 350-litre when compared to the 328-litre boot space offered in the Vitara Brezza.

The variant of the Hyundai Venue that we have selected for this comparison is the SX(O) diesel with manual transmission and the ZXi Plus petrol with Automatic (Torque Converter) for Vitara Brezza. The 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Hyundai Venue produces 99bhp and 240Nm of torque. Whereas the 1.5-litre petrol engine offered in Vitara Brezza produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque.  The claimed mileage of Hyundai Venue is 23.4kmpl (ARAI claimed) while the Vitara Brezza delivers a mileage of 18.76kmpl (ARAI claimed). The Hyundai Venue gets a turbocharged diesel engine whereas the Vitara Brezza gets a naturally aspirated engine with mild-hybrid SHVS system. Sadly the Vitara Brezza is only offered with a petrol engine, whereas the Venue is offered with two petrol engines and one diesel engine – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

When it comes to safety the SX(O) variant of the Hyundai Venue gets six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, brake assist, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold control, and traction control. While the Vitara Brezza gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and hill hold control as safety features. Both SUVs get automatic climate control but the Hyundai Venue gets rear AC vents that are placed behind the front armrest. The Venue gets leatherette upholstery while the Vitara Brezza gets fabric upholstery.

The Hyundai Venue SX(O) 1.5 diesel with a manual gearbox is priced at Rs 14.18 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) while the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza ZXi AT SHVS is priced at Rs 13.08 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).  If you are someone who drives a lot on the highways and fuel efficiency along with performance is high on your priority list then the Venue is the right choice for you. But if you ate someone who drives a lot in the city and has to deal with traffic congestions then Vitara Brezza with automatic transmission is the perfect SUV for you.
