2022 Mahindra Scorpio Design
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get an aggressive design language that will resemble the XUV700. It will get newly designed sharp LED headlamps and a DRL design. The SUV will also sport a big grille with a new twin-peaked Mahindra logo in the center. The bumpers and fog lamps will be redesigned for the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio. The side profile will get an extended look with a new alloy wheel design. The rear of this SUV will get newly designed tail lamps and bumpers. All these changes will add to this SUV’s road presence. The interiors of this SUV will also get a major update. It will get a central touchscreen flanked by vertical AC vents on either side. This SUV will also get a dual-zone climate control unit with AC controls similar to the XUV700. Mahindra will also offer a sunroof in the 2022 Scorpio.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio Specifications
We expect Mahindra to offer the new generation Scorpio with diesel as well as petrol engines just like they did with the XUV700 and Thar. The engines that will be offered will mostly be the same that are currently seen in the Thar. The 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine from the Thar produces 150bhp and 300Nm of torque. While the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine from the XUV700 MX variant produces 153bhp and 360Nm of torque. These two engines will be offered in a different state of tune for more power. Manual and automatic transmission will be offered in this SUV by Mahindra.
Features
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get some segment-leading features like dual-zone climate control, aero-twin blade wipers, cruise control, keyless entry, third row AC vents with charging ports and in-cabin voice assist. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will also get drive modes. These modes will make driving in difficult conditions easy. There will be different drive modes to choose from – Mud mode, Snow mode, and Sand mode. This SUV will also get a 4×4 variant that will be offered keeping enthusiasts in mind with 4H and 4L transfer box. Hill assist and hill descent control are also expected to be offered in the 2022 Scorpio.
Price and Launch
Looking at the trend Mahindra usually launches their car on national holidays. They had launched the Thar on 02 October 2020 and the Mahindra XUV700 was launched on 15 August 2021. 26 January 2022 could be too early to speculate. But we can expect some news coming from Mahindra related to the 2022 Scorpio. This 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be placed below the recently launched XUV700.
