Kia Seltos facelift spotted for the first time!
Kia Seltos is gaining immense popularity in the compact C-Segment SUV in India. The SUV from Kia is doing consistently good sales. Recently a test mule of the Kia Seltos was spotted testing in South Korea. The Seltos as a product awaits a facelift in India as well. In this article, we will discuss what the spy shots have revealed.
Kia Seltos Facelift Design
The changes in the Kia Seltos facelift will be subtle when compared to the Hyundai Creta facelift. In the spy shots, the SUV is heavily camouflaged giving us just a glimpse of the newly designed headlamps. Along with headlamps, the Seltos will also get a revised LED DRL that might resemble with the recently launched Kia Carens’ LED DRL. The Kia Seltos is also expected to get a newly designed bumper and a bigger grille. The side profile remains to be unchanged. The rear of the Seltos haas also been heavily camouflaged in order to cover the newly designed tail lamps and rear bumper.
Kia Seltos Facelift Interiors
The spy shots have only given us a glimpse of the exteriors of the Kia Seltos. However, we expect Kia to slightly update the interior as well. New seating & upholstery, new dashboard design, new centre console elements, etc. might be added in order to give the interior a fresh appeal. We expect the Kia Seltos some new features as well. Elements like electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof, etc. might be added to expand the feature list.
Engine
Currently, the Kia Seltos is available with three engine options; a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 113bhp & 144Nm of torque, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 138bhp & 242Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 113bhp & 250Nm of torque. The gearbox options offered are a six-speed manual, clutchless manual (iMT), automatic (torque converter), automatic (CVT), and automatic (DCT). The Kia Seltos facelift is expected to come with no changes done under the hood. The engine options and the gearbox option will continue to be the same.
Launch
The Kia Seltos facelift is expected to have its global unveil by the first quarter of 2022. We expect Kia to launch the Seltos facelift in India sometime next year.
