What was spotted?

We can spot a bright LED tail lamp element that hints at the car being the new Tucson. When looked closely, the bumper design confirms that the car being tested is the Hyundai Tucson. The new-generation Hyundai Tucson which is already available in foreign markets gets a completely new styling. New tail lamps, new bumpers, new front grille with integrated headlamps and new body panels give the car a futuristic appeal. Even the front fascia of the Hyundai Creta facelift takes inspiration from the new-generation Tucson.

Engine Specifications

The new generation Tucson will continue to get the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 150bhp and 192Nm of torque mated to a six-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. While the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine produces 182bhp and 400Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. A four-wheel-drive system is only offered with a diesel engine.

Features

The new-generation Tucson is expected to get all-new alloy wheels, new bumpers with a wider air dam, angular body cladding and floating roof design. The interiors will also get an update with a bigger touch screen infotainment system, ambient lighting and touch control for AC vents. The car is expected to look and feel more premium than the current generation.

When will Hyundai Launch the New Generation Tucson in India?

Hyundai is working towards getting its new products to India however microchip shortage and the after-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have slowed down the process. However, we expect Hyundai to launch the new generation Hyundai Tucson somewhere next year.
