KTM recently unveiled the 2022 390 Adventure globally. The bike gets some new color schemes and touches. However, a new 390 Adventure with rally-oriented design and features has been spotted testing in India and abroad. In this article, we will discuss the KTM 390 Adventure Rally version.

KTM 390 Adventure Rally Design

Although the bike was heavily camouflaged, some features distinctly differentiate the 390 Adventure from the Rally version that was spotted. The new bike gets a taller handlebar that becomes practical while standing up on the bike. The front of this new bike seems very different from the current version of the KTM 390 Adventure. It is taller and gets a huge transparent windscreen that goes all the way to the forks. This 390 Adventure Rally version resembles a lot of the bikes that are used at the Dakar Rally. The rear of the bike sports a different exhaust that resembles the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.

The front fascia is revised and you can see an instrument cluster that seems to be mounted higher than the usual 390 Adventure. The overall setup resembles a lot with the Dakar Rally bike where the riders usually mount their navigation system. The front of the bike also features a bash plate that will protect the engine and components from belly scraps while off-roading.

Engine and Features

KTM390 Adventure

We expect the engine to be the same on this new 390 Adventure Rally version. The KTM 390 Adventure gets a powerful 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine that produces 42.3bhp and 37Nm of torque with a six-speed gearbox. The engine could be tweaked to deliver more power for better off-roading. The bike gets features like a slipper clutch, traction control, five-spoked wheels, switchable ABS, cornering ABS, and ride by wire. The new bike will get 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The current version of 390 Adventure gets WP APEX 43mm USD forks at the front and WP APEX mono-shock at the rear. The bike gets a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear.
