Bose is looking to revolutionize the music system in cars with their new Seatcentric Call Placement. Through this Bose is looking to provide audio experience into individual seats. The concept of this SeatCentric is to give each passenger their individual entertainment. In this Bose is using hardware and software capabilities. It uses a normal perimeters sound system with additional speakers in the headrest. This creates a nearfield around the seat enabling a seat centric user experience.
How will it help?
This Seat Centric placement will help people to watch their own entrainment in their own bubbles without disturbing each other. The system can also handle calls discreetly, not letting others know what you are speaking. Calls can also be transferred to the passenger through speakers. This can lead to a more hands-free phone conversion. This shared mobility will help everyone to be entertained without disturbing one another.
When will this Bose sound system come?
Bose has already developed a prototype of this system and has unveiled the system in CES 2020. According to Bose, it is in advanced stages of development and we may soon use it on cars. It will be first unveiled in premium cars before getting to more mass-market cars.
