After months of regular spy shots and leaks, Mahindra finally unveiled the XUV700. The XUV700 is the latest entrant into the seven-seater market and will also be available as a 5 seater. Exterior design

The Tata Safari is based on the Tata Harrier. It follows the ‘Impact 2.0’ design language, which Tata has with almost all its modern cars. The Safari gets HID projector headlamps, tri-arrow front grille, LED tail lamps, 18-inch machined alloys, rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna that give it a premium appeal. On the inside, it gets perforated leather upholstery, ambient lighting, an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold and a panoramic sunroof.
The XUV700 design language is based on the XUV500 but carries a different style. It gets a masculine bonnet with Signature Mahindra grill, New logo, C-shaped DRL on the headlights, huge wrap-around tail lamps, shark fin antenna, spoiler with huge winglets and muscular fenders. On the inside, the XUV700 gets a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree sound surround system, D-cut multi-function steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Specifications

The Tata Safari is 4661mm long, 1894mm wide and 1786mm tall. It sits on a wheelbase of 2741mm and has a ground clearance of 205mm. The Safari is made available in 6-seater & 7-seater configurations. The Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine capable of producing 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. It comes with a manual and a torque converter gearbox.
The Mahindra XUV700 is 4695mm long,  1890mm wide& 1755mm tall. It sits on a wheelbase of 2750mm. The XUV is available in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. The XUV700 gets a 2.0-litre petrol engine capable of producing  200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 2.2-litre engine capable of producing 185bhp and 450nm of torque. It comes with a manual and an automatic gearbox.

The Tata Safari comes loaded with features like connected car technology , a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, captain seats with Boss Mode, 3rd-row AC vents & charging ports, cruise control, automatic climate control, hill hold, hill descent control, electronic parking brake with auto hold and driving modes.
The XUV700 comes with segment-first features like Advanced driver-assistance systems (level 1), wireless charging, drive modes, 360-degree parking camera, Auto Booster headlamps, personalized safety alerts, smart door handles, Driver Drowsiness Detection and AdrenoX powered by Amazon.
