The mid-size SUV segment topper –  the Hyundai Creta has been nothing short of a blockbuster in the Indian car market. Though the Korean SUV has rivals in the market which fall under the same price bracket, the statistics suggest that Creta is one of the most selling SUVs in India. However, we are soon expecting another addition to Creta’s rival list and this time from the Morris Garages’ stable. After the successful stab of the MG Hector, Gloster and the ZS EV, the automaker is now gearing up for another launch in the market, the MG Astor. The Astor will compete in the C-SUV segment which is currently dominated by the Korean SUVs, Creta and Seltos. In today’s article, we will have a look at this Rs 9 lakh Hyundai Creta competition SUV.

Launch timeline and pricing

The Astor is expected to be launched by early 2022. Talking about its price bracket, we expect the price tag to be somewhere around Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) as it will be placed competitively against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the Skoda Kushaq. With this pricing, MG will definitely aim to undercut the Hyundai Creta.
