Tata Rs 11 Lakh EV coming this year?
Tata has been giving tough competition to cars in different segments. The brand became one of the initial movers in the passenger EV sector with its Nexon EV. With growing interest in EVs, we expect Tata to bring another one soon. In this article, we will discuss Tata Rs 11 Lakh EV.
Design
The car under discussion here is the Altroz EV. In terms of design, it will be similar to the regular Altroz. Projector headlights, a new covered grille reflecting the EV character and new alloys with blue contrasts are expected to be some of the major elements on the outside. Signature Teal Blue colour is also one of the shades that we will get to see with the car.
Tata Rs 11 Lakh EV Specifications
The premium hatchback EV will be based on the ALFA-Arc platform. The platform has specifically been developed for this EV. A 30.2kWh liquid-cooled, IP 67 lithium-ion battery pack setup will generate around 100bhp. The car will be based on Tata’s Ziptron EV technology.
Charging Time & Range
The charging time from 0% to 80% is expected to be close to an hour on DC fast charging. The EV is expected to run close to 300km on a full charge. The actual figures, however, might vary. The Altroz will be a great choice for city commutes as well as highway drives, given the charging time to range ratio is appropriately maintained.
Features
In terms of features, the car is expected to get similar features to the gasoline-powered Altroz. A floating touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a premium sound system and connected car technology are some of the convenience features. The car will follow the same 5-star safety standards that the regular Altroz follows. ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and dual airbags will be some of the standard safety features. The EV will also get regenerative braking that will help it enhance the overall range.
