Maruti sold 5476 units of the car in March 2020. After Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze was the second top-selling compact sedan last month. 4596 units of the Honda Amaze were sold. However, the gap between Dzire and Amaze is huge.

The Maruti Dzire gets a 1.2-litre DualJet Dual VVT petrol engine. This unit is greatly refined, making it a really fun car to drive. The refinement of the engine helps in enhancing fuel efficiency as well. The compact sedan manages to give 23.26kmpl mileage (ARAI-certified) when mated to a manual gearbox, and 24.12kmpl mileage (ARAI-certified) when mated to an AMT gearbox. The AMT gearbox on the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, known as the AGS, is really good and delivers smooth shifting.
