The 998cc Turbo GDi, 3 cylinder petrol engine produces 118.36bhp/6000rpm and 171.62Nm/1500-4000rpm. This engine also provides an ARAI claimed mileage of 20.25 km/l. Compared to the other cars in the segment, the engine is quite peppy and has enough power for the size of i20. The Hyundai i20 also comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Diesel engine.

While that is great for enthusiasts and drivers, many people need the thrill of a turbo engine along with the convenience of an automatic transmission. While the Altroz is certainly cheaper, it is significantly underpowered and also comes only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
