2021 Skoda Kushaq Spotted in Mumbai

Skoda has been testing their upcoming Kushaq SUV for quite a while now. We have come across some of the images of the vehicle while on test. This time 2 test mules of the vehicle have been spotted next to each other and here is all that you need to know about the Upcoming 2021 Skoda Kushaq.

These 2021 Skoda Kushaq test mules have been spotted in Southern part of Mumbai (SOBO).  One of the test mule has been covered completely where as one of it has white and black camoflage. We expect them to be 2 different variants of power trains on the Skoda Kushaq. It is not clear if Skoda will bring in a diesel engine on this vehicle as it does not really qualify as a bigger vehicle

Yes we are testing diesels for the bigger cars in the range but we also have to consider changing norms in 2023. At the moment demand for diesels is falling and norms are becoming harder to achieve.

As of now there is no diesel engine in the BS6 lineup. If at all the Kushaq comes with a diesel engine it will be a good product as the diesel demand is good but the availability of options is limited.

Other possibility cold be the Skoda Kamiq that has been spotted multiple times previously. The Kamiq has been spotted with minimal camouflage and that might be a reason why the other vehicle has been kept covered completely.

The front of the Skoda Kushaq has is visible but the images are not clear. None the less we can confirm that this vehicle will get a split headlamp setup with the LED daytime running lights above it. The lights on the test mule have been halogens and that seems the case with other spotting too.

Launch

The launch of the 2021 Skoda Kushaq is expected by mid of this year. This vehicle will compete in the segment in which the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos have their firm hold. According to our assumption the vehicle is expected to be a bit smaller than those vehicle and the pricing is expected to be like the Rapid. That seems like the only way Skoda could beat the competition that the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta have created.
