After it’s christening last week, the 2021 Skoda Kushaq has been spotted testing once again. The Kushaq is part of Volkswagen Groups ‘India 2.

0 strategy’. It is a car that is highly expected this year and will be competing with the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. That means we will see Skoda give us a competitive price, many variants and some first in class features to stand out.

We have spotted the car 2021 Skoda Kushaq again and have noticed some interesting details.

Setup for Indian roads

Before we start here, we would like you to check out our Instagram handle where we have shared a video/reel of the Kushaq being tested. The car as we say – ‘setup for Indian roads’ gets emphasized here. Now obviously we will have to see how true is that statement when we test the car ourselves. As we can see the car moved around the round about and crossed a speed breaker where it was not quite unsettled. We know that the Hyundai Creta is pretty good on bad roads and is a comfortable car. We expect Skoda to have applied some of this thought into the suspension setup of the Kushaq.

While the stiff suspension setups is something we expect in VWs and Skodas as they are good handling cars, the Kushaq needs to be on the softer side too. Obviously when we test the car, we will know more. Other than that, the Skoda Kushaq is expected to have good NVH levels, solid German build quality and also sharp design language that we have already seen through spy shots. It will be getting a 5-speed manual gearbox too with the lower trims and we expect that to be setup with a light clutch. With the Kushaq, the brand will see a lot of first time buyers who want a family car, something that everyone is happy to use and be able to get comfortable with.

It will get six airbags, cruise control, possibly 360 degree parking and more in the safety department. The car will be based on the latest MQB AO IN platform in India. The car will get the latest connected car tech and convenience features too.
