Traveling to places is something we all like and for that travel to be enjoyable we need to have a good touring bike. KTM Adventure 390
KTM is the most obvious choice when it comes to touring in 2020-21. This was the most awaited bike from KTM and although it has not taken off-roading to another level it sure has made traveling on a bike more comfortable. The punchy 390 engine from the Duke is present here without much change. The long travel suspension provides great comfort on the broken roads in rural parts of India and the bright LED light illuminate the darkest of nights.
The downside here is the price. If look at this bike it makes for one of the most expensive bike in the Indian single cylinder market. The price of this bike on-road is almost Rs 3,65,745
Bajaj Dominar 400
At Rs 2,43,420 the Bajaj Dominar offers the same engine as the 390 Duke. The performance is tuned down for a bit more mileage. The Dominar 400 has a much relaxed riding posture than the KTM Duke 390. The weight is something that is of a downside of the Dominar 400. The bike does safe cruising speed but once you are past the 120 km/hr mark then there are a lot of vibrations.
TVS Apache RR310
If you are into Sport bike and want to tour on then the TVS Apache RR 310 is the most comfortable as well as safe bike out there. The tyres on this offer amazing grip both in wet and dry conditions and there are rider aids to cradle new riders. The Apache RR 310 is something that also offers good ergonomics and the bike is good for single seat touring. The downside here is if you have pillion of a lot of luggage. At Rs 2,91,546 on-road price the Apache is great value for money option. You just will have to pack well if you want to ride long distance.
Royal Enfield Meteor
This is the newest entrant in the 2020’s list of bike. The Meteor being a significant engine improvement makes for a good touring bike. The relaxed ergonomics of the Thunderbird and the refinement of the new engine are something that all tourers have been looking for in the Thunderbird. The cost of the bike on-road is Rs 2,09,278 which is a good deal as it is one of the cheapest out here. Also this bike comes with a tone of touring mods which make it an ideal option for beginners.
