5-new features on the 2021 Ford Figo

Engine and Performance
This is the most expected change in the 2021 Ford Figo. While the present generation Ford Figo has decent engine and performance, help from Mahindra will only improve things. Mahindra’s mStallion petrol engine showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 may power the car. The new gasoline unit delivers a peak power of 129bhp and 230Nm of torque. This will make it the most powerful petrol hatchback in the country.
New Design and Dimensions
According to rumours, Ford is set to make slight changes to the overall dimensions of the car. The new 2021 Ford-Figo will be heavily inspired from European counterparts in terms of overall styling. Sleek angular lines with sporty exterior touches can be expected. Seeing the popularity of premium hatchbacks in India, Ford may launch the new Figo as a new premium hatchback in our country. To keep up with the industry standards, Ford will have to be sharp with the overall styling of the car. It may compete against Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Maruti Baleno if launched in the premium hatchback segment.
Better Features
It’s likely to get a new touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Currently, the Figo offers multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, hill-start assist, traction control, rear parking sensors and many other safety fitments. Ford may also provide better infotainment features from the base variant itself. We also expect new connected car technology in the 2021 Ford Figo. The new Ford Figo is also expected to have cruise control, climate control, and better navigation feature with modern-looking interiors.
Launch and Price
The 2021 Ford Figo may launch by the end of 2021. As the car recently got the BS6 engine upgrade, the company may not reveal the new generation any time soon. However low sales may push Ford to launch the car sooner in India. Prices of 2021 Ford Figo may fall between Rs.6.00 lakh and Rs.12.00 lakh (ex-showroom), if launched as a premium hatchback.
