The Ford Figo has recently gotten the BS6 compliant engines. It is known to be one of the most underrated performance hatchbacks out there. The car gets some equipment changes on it with the BS6 engines. Along with the features, it has also got changed in the engine line-ups and transmissions. There is also a new standard variant that has been introduced.

Ford Figo Engine and transmission

The care comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine as well as a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol produces 96 bhp and 119nm of torque. The diesel produces 100 bhp and 215 nm of torque.

Both engines now only get the option of a five-speed manual transmission. The car loses out on the previously offered six-speed automatic along with the 123 bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine. The Figo is offered in four variants now.

Ambiente

This variant is only available with the petrol engine. It gets features such as driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, immobiliser, rear parking sensors, rear fog lamps, 14-inch steel wheels, fabric upholstery, adjustable front headrests, FordPass connectivity tech, tilt steering, day-night rear-view mirror, front power windows, driver side one-touch up/down power window, manual air conditioner and a tachometer. The Ambiente variant costs Rs 5.39 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Trend

From this variant onwards both petrol and diesel engines are offered in the car. The Trend variant gets additional features such as remote locking, driver’s seat height adjust, 2-DIN infotainment system with USB, aux-input, Bluetooth, four speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, front and rear power windows and power-adjustable wing mirrors. The Trend variant starts from Rs 6 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Titanium

The Titanium variant gets features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, adjustable rear headrests and push-button start. The Titanium variant starts at Rs 6.35 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Titanium Blu

This is the most expensive variant in the Ford Figo. It comes with features like side and curtain airbags, reverse parking camera, Front fog lamps, rear defogger, rear wiper, blue accents on the exterior and interior, dual-tone paint shade with contrast black roof, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with on-board navigation, automatic climate control, power-folding wing mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Titanium Blu variant starts from Rs 6.95 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Ford Figo competition

The car competes with other premium hatchbacks such as Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Grand i10 Nios.
