Hyundai has launched the long-awaited BS6 diesel variant of the Hyundai Elantra. It has been priced at Rs 18.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). What’s New

This is only an introduction to the BS6 Diesel engine option. This engine comes with 2 variants – SX and SX(O). The gearbox options are a six-speed automatic and a six-speed manual. The engine is a 1493cc engine that produces 112 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. Apart from the engine, everything else remains the same on the car.

There is no change in the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. The Hyundai Elantra BS6 Diesel retains the premium and luxurious feel even after the update. This is the pinnacle of luxury sedans from Hyundai. The character of this vehicle is bold and wide and it does not miss out anywhere on the executive appeal.

Launch of Hyundai Elantra  BS6 Diesel engine with 2 gearbox option for the luxury sedan market does strengthen the position of the brand.
