Bajaj Auto Ltd. will be launching the 2016 versions of its cruiser motorcycle – Avenger on 27th October. With this launch, Bajaj plans to increase its volumes for the Avenger to 20,000 units per month from the 4,000 odd units it does currently.

The 2016 Avenger will be coming in two trim levels called the Cruise and Street. The Cruise variant will carry a lot of chrome, more than the current Avenger and will also feature a new wide pulled-back handlebar and will also have a windscreen, stretched-out rear view mirrors and spoke wheels carried over from the existing Avenger.  The Street variant will be one with a blacked-out theme, similar to the Dark Custom from Harley Davidson, with black alloy wheels and identical front suspension covers. Both these bikes will have a 220cc engine, that does duty on the current Avenger, with a little tweak in performance.

As we had reported earlier, there will also be a 150cc engine coming in the Avenger however,  that will be launched later in December. The 150cc Avenger  will carry over its engine from the Pulsar AS150 and is likely to carry the existing trim of the current Avenger 220.
