A lot of variants are available in both the cars to cater to a large number of customers. Take a look further as we compare both these budget micro SUV in terms of looks and dimension
External Looks
Ok, so clearly both cars are different in this parameter. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was made to directly compete with Renault Kwid in the micro-SUV market and the Redigo looks more like a hot hatch. The new Datsun Redigo 2020 has been redesigned and it has come with lots of tricks up its sleeve. The offbeat styling of S-Presso may not be appreciated by all but the Redigo blends well in the cities. Coming to the front profile of both the car, Redigo gets a whole new sporty look.
The octagonal grille will be the first thing you notice in the car and it looks Good! Sharp lines have emerged on the bonnet and LED lights with fog lamps have been provided. The car looks sleek and stylish and perfect for city streets. I have not been a fan of the looks of the S-Presso but it’s my responsibility to give an unbiased view. So seeing the car for the first time you may feel it is trying too hard to resemble an SUV.
Though the impressive ride height gives you road presence and headroom, the looks of this car may not impress everyone. The car looks a little boxy and there are curves throughout the body of the car to balance this out. C shaped headlights look crisp and new. The front grille with chrome accents(Not base model) looks pretty too. The black cladding adds to the rugged look of the car. Both the cars come with 14-inch wheels.
While the Redigo looks pretty decent with the small wheels the same cannot be said about the S-Presso where the wheel looks too small for the height of the car. The side profile of both cars is quite similar. The rear look of both the car looks quite similar too with the exception of Redigo which has a place for Reverse Parking Camera while the unit is missing in the S-Presso. The ride height of the S-Presso is obviously greater than the Redigo.
Dimensions
Budget Micro SUV | Datsun Redigo | Maruti Suzuki S-Presso | Difference |

Boot space | 222L | 270L | -48L |
Wheelbase | 2348mm | 2380mm | -32mm |

The boot space is a major differing factor between both cars. Other dimensions are quite near to each other.
Interiors
The cabin size of the 2020 Redigo has still not been confirmed but is rumoured to be quite similar to the S-Presso. Moreover, both cars have dual-tone interiors and lots of space in bits and pieces throughout the cabin. The plasticky feel of the S-Presso may look sub-par but cannot be complained due to its low price.
The major difference is the placement of the instrument cluster in the S-Presso. The first time you sit in the car, you keep looking for the speedometer as me. Jokes aside, the instrument cluster in the S-Presso has been placed on the top of the central console and whether you like it or not depends on your personal taste. Both cars get a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

The engine power and torque of both the 1.0-litre engines are similar and up to the mark. However, with the Maruti Suzuki, you get peace of mind about finding the spare parts of your car in the remotest part of the country. Both cars also come with Automatic Transmission options.
