2021 Ford Endeavour to get a twin-turbo diesel
The Ford Endeavour is a full-blown SUV offered by the company. Surprisingly, it is one of the best selling cars that is is sold by the company even though it costs upwards of 30 lakh rupees. It is known to be the only car in the market to compete with the dominant Toyota Fortuner. With the BS6 updates, the car lost out on one of its most iconic engines – the 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel. Now it is confirmed that this has no chance of coming back. There were reports that a stronger diesel could be brought in later but now it is confirmed that there will be no changes to the current model. However, there are reports that the twin-turbo model will be brought with the introduction of the 2021 Ford Endeavour. Find out more below.
Engine
This new engine is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that is called the “Panther” which is offered in the current car. However, in international markets, it gets a different set of tune with twin-turbos. This increases the power to 210 bhp and 500 nm of torque. This is a big increase as compared to the engine that is currently offered which puts out 168 bhp and 420 nm of torque. In fact, this engine is also more powerful to the iconic 3.
2-litre five-cylinder that was previously offered which had 197 bhp and 470 nm of torque. This engine will also be lighter than that one and will be a better performer overall.
This will give it a much bigger advantage over the Fortuner that currently develops 174 bhp and 450 nm of torque. The single-turbo variant will also be offered along-side this engine.
2021 Ford Endeavour design
The 2021 Endeavour will look significantly bigger than the previous car. The small headlights are replaced for longer and sleeker ones. The grille will also be much bigger in size. The overall road presence of the car is more than the previous one. This is will be the fourth-generation of the car. On the inside as well it will get the usual updates with an updated infotainment system as well as more creature comforts.

2021 Ford Endeavour launch
With the current market scenario, it is difficult to predict a launch date for the 2021 Ford Endeavour. But it will be launched in the second half of next year globally. After this, it is expected to make it to Indian shores soon as it is one of the most important products for the company in our market.
