5 things we love about the 2020 Ford Endeavour

Ford Endeavour has always been a preferred full-sized SUV by the SUV enthusiasts. Recently it had undergone many technical changes and we have loved some of the changes. So here is the article is about the 5 things that we love about the 2020 Ford Endeavour.

1. New Gearbox

Most of us might have already guessed why we loved the new transmission. The 2020 Ford Endeavour gets a 10-speed automatic transmission that comes mated with the 2.0-litre, EcoBlue diesel engine.

The engine churns about 170 bhp max power and 420 Nm of peak torque. However, the power is low among the rivals but that is now compensated with the gearbox. The gearbox works on the new Progressive Range Select Feature, which Ford Calls SelectShift. This feature helps the driver to lock the gears for the desired range. Also, Ford has developed the gear jump system that helps the gears to shift quickly by avoiding some gears.

2. Terrain Management System

The 2020 Ford Endeavour comes with the segment-first terrain management system. The system offers four different modes – Normal, Snow/Mud/Grass, Sand and Rock. The water wading capacity of the 2020 Ford Endeavour has remained similar to the previous model which is at 800 mm which is still the segment leader. These features make Endeavour a proper hardcore SUV.

3. Increased Mileage

Due to the lowered power and displacement of the engine, the mileage has seemed a boost. The SUV now offers 13.90 km/l for the 4X2 model while the 4X4 has claimed mileage of 12.4 km/l. and who doesn’t like increased fuel economy?

4. Feature Loaded

Ford Endeavour gets equipped with plenty of features, most of them are retained from the previous model but still are upmarket. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, cruise control, 8-way-power adjustable driver and front passenger seat,  dual-zone automatic climate control, auto headlamps and wipers and much more. The safety includes multiple airbags, parking camera, parking sensors, auto park assist, ABS with EBD, child ISOFIX, etc. It gets the FordPass connectivity feature that allows your smartphone to have access to various vehicle features such as starting, stoping, locking or unlocking of the car.

5. Pricing

Even with all the BS6 upgrades and added features the price hasn’t undergone much of a difference. However, Ford will be revising the price of the 2020 Ford Endeavour after April 30. After that, it is expected a price hike up to Rs 70,000.

Still considering the competitors pricing, it still impressive. The pricing starts at Rs 29.55 lakhs and goes up to Rs 33.26 lakhs  The Ford Endeavour competes against Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
