A month ago Honda launched the Amaze into the BS6 avatar. Honda currently has four models with the BS6 update. It will be updating the WR-V into the BS6 avatar pretty soon before the deadline 1st April 2020. It was launched back in 2017 and since then it has not got any significant update. This time, however, we are expecting lots of cosmetic and engine upgrades. Let’s find out what all changes the upcoming Honda WR-V BS6 will possess.

Engine

Of course, the engine will have a BS6 update, it will now be cleaner to the environment. It will continue to have the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel option. The 1.2-litre engine is able to produce around 90 bhp of max power and 110 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with the 5-speed manual gearbox. Whereas the 1.5-litre diesel produces around 99 bhp of max power and 200 Nm peak torque. The engine is further mated with 6-speed manual transmission. However, we expect the BS6 model to have an automatic gearbox at least as an option.

Features

The Honda WR-V BS6 is expected with lot more features resembling the segment. It will retain most of the features from the BS4 model. The BS4 model includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, drivers cooled cup holder, rear parking camera, sunroof, and so. The safety features include ABS with EBD, dual-airbags, ECU immobilizer as a standard feature. The top trim will include features such as automatic Climate control, dual-tone upholstery, etc.

Exterior

The BS6 model is expected with the updated theme. It is expected to have new colour options and also dual-tone colour at least as an option. The bumper, headlamp and taillamp unit might have slight tweaks to appear as a fresh product. Overall the body will appear the same to the predecessor.

Price

The pricing is expected to be similar to the ongoing BS4 model. For reference, the current pricing for the BS4 model starts at Rs 8.

22 lakhs(ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 10.

56(ex-showroom) for the top trim. It will be competing against Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 300 and Ford EcosSport.
