Kia Carnival BS6 launched at Auto Expo at Rs 24.95 lakhs

Exterior

The Kia Carnival BS6 is MPV offering from the manufacturer. The Carnival is offered with 5,115 mm length, 1,985 mm width and 1,740-2040 mm height. It offers the wheel-base of 3,060 mm, making it segment best. From the front, it gets the LED headlamp set up and the brand’s signature tiger-nose grille. It comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels with two design options. It gets the one-touch powered sliding doors at the middle. Kia Carnival is offered in three different colour options.

Interior

From the interior, it offers plenty of premium features that one would expect. It gets tri-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch rear-seat infotainment system and smart air-purifier. It has smart connectivity options for convenience. For driver-assist it gets front and rear parking sensors, parking camera, telescopic steering, 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, keyless entry and hill start assist control. It gets the dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix child-seat mount, parking sensors as standard.

Based on the variant one can choose between three seating configuration- seven-seater, eight-seater, nine(six+three) seater. The upholstery is dual coloured with leather finish. The second-row seats can opt with the integrated adjustable thigh support.

Kia Carnival BS6 Powertrain

The Kia Carnival is offered with only one engine option for now- 2.2-litre diesel. The engine produces around 200 bhp maximum power and 440 Nm maximum torque. The engine comes with the BS6 compliant. The engine is mated with eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission driving the front wheels. Looking at the power figure, it makes the segment-best in terms of power.

Price

The Kia Carnival BS6 is offered with five different variants. Price starts from Rs 24.95 lakhs(ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes up to Rs 33.95 lakhs(ex-showroom, Delhi) for top trim(Limousine). It competes against Toyota Innova, for reference Toyota Innova starts at Rs 18.22 lakhs and goes up to Rs 23.02 lakhs(ex-showroom, Delhi)
