The GTT system lets the bike start moving with a slow release of the clutch lever, without using the throttle input. The vehicle moves freely upto third gear. The bike does not stalls suddenly compared to BS4 model. GTT will make this vehicle non-jerky indeed. It is very convenient feature while riding in heavy traffic.

TVS RTR Apache BS6 Engine

TVS RTR 160 will retain same BS4 engine with BS6 tweaks. The engine now gets Fuel Injection and ECU. The BS6 engine is a 159.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit, which produces max 15.31 bhp at 8400 rpm and peak torque 13.9 Nm at 7000 rpm. Unlike the Apache 160 4V and 200 4V, the power has gone up by 0.41 bhp and torque by 0.87 Nm compared the BS4 model. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The ECU system will sense the extra load on an incline and keep the engine revving at the right range. The ECU and the FI do work precisely and efficiently for GTT system due to previous experiences of RTR 160 4V and 200 4v.
