A test bike of the Husqvarna was spotted in Pune. The Husqvarna brand had announced the launch of 2 bikes with a 250cc engine. There was a major difference in the spy shot that was seen on the bike that was spotted.

What was spotted?

The vehicle that was spotted was the Husqvarna 401. Now at IBW 2019, we were shown the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250. The bike that was spotted is also likely to make it to India.

The Husqvarna 401 is built on the trellis frame chassis like the KTM 390. It also uses the same 373cc engine as on the KTM Duke 390. The vehicle will be seen with alloy wheels instead of wire-spoke units.

What will be offered on this bike?

This Husqvarna 401 will be very identical to the Duke 390.

The main difference will be the riding posture. The bike will be more like a cafe race than a naked street. There will also be a scrambler version of the same with straight handlebars instead of the clip-on. Its suspension will be softly sprung. The vehicle will also get upside down forks which will be seen with adjustability. The vehicle will also have dual-channel ABS and some new electronic aids.

News on Husqvarna 250 models

KTM is upgrading to launch the Husqvarna models. The Vitpilen 250 and the Svartpilen 250, will be launched in February 2020. This is a new genre of motorcycles in India and there is no idea of how the consumers will react to this. These bikes will have the same engine and frame as Duke 250. They are expected to be more expensive than the KTM Duke 250.

Before starting with operation of Husqvarna KTM will make its current lineup BS6 and also launch a few new bikes. The KTM 490 Duke will also make it to India looking at the grown in that sector.
