TVS Motor Company is now getting ready to launch the BS6 version of the Apache RR 310. This will be the fourth BS6 product from TVS Motor Company. The company has already launched the Jupiter BS6, Apache RTR 200 BS6 and the Apache RTR 160 BS6. The Apache RR 310 BS6 launch has been scheduled on January 30, 2020.

Spyshots of the vehicle show that there will be a few cosmetic changes on the bike.

The TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 had been already been spotted at the MMRT (Madras Motor Race Track). The bike is expected to be added a few new colours on the existing colour schemes. The bike will also get new graphics and dual-tone colours.

The tyres on the vehicle are also expected to be updated. This will provide a better grip to the bike.

New Instrument Cluster of the Apache RR 310 BS6

TVS Apache RR310 BS6

The most discussed addition to the bike is the new instrument cluster. The instrument cluster on the bike was the only thing that was holding back the bike to win against its competition. The present vehicle will be seen with an LCD unit. The new digital console will be seen with TFT console. This will also be a vertical unit and the design language will not be disturbed. It will offer a slew of information as speed, gear shift indicator, trip meter, odometer and ABS.

  • Achieved top speed
  • 0-60 km/h timer
  • Auto Reply SMS
  • High-Speed Alert
  • High-speed alert
  • Turn-by-turn Navigation (Ride and Tour Mode)
  • Low fuel warning (Alert and Assist to find the nearest fuel station)
  • Road Side Assistance
  • Automatic App Launch
  • Call and SMS notification
  • Ride Statistics (Details, records and analysis)
  • Last Parked Location
  • Do Not Disturb mode
  • Crash alert notification
  • G-Force measurement
  • Lean angle display

The new instrument cluster is also expected to come with a speed recorder, lap timer, launch time recorder and diagnostic systems. TVS will also give the bike SmartXonnect system. This will give it the ability to connect with the smartphone. This system is seen on a lot of TVS products and skipping it on the TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 won’t make any sense. With the new bike, we might get an option to switch off rear ABS which will open new avenues for the bike.

What are the changes in the engine?

In terms of the engine, there won’t be much of a change. The bike will be powered by the same 312cc engine.

The engine might see a small power drop because of the BS6 tuning. Although there won’t be much of a noticeable difference in the performance of the vehicle the price of the vehicle will see some noticeable increases. It is expected that the vehicle will have an additional premium of Rs 15000 – Rs 20000 over the current BS4 model. The current price of the vehicle is Rs 2.27 lakhs. The TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 could be priced at Rs 2.45 lakhs. The deliveries of the vehicle are expected to start by the start of February.
