The Jawa Perak is designed as a quintessential bobber, a factory custom job as Jawa likes to call it. The Perak uses a 334cc single-cylinder, a liquid-cooled motor that produces 30bhp and 31Nm of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed gearbox. The Perak also has a longer swingarm than the other Jawas and a mono-shock rest suspension. It gets disc brakes at the front and rear with dual-channel ABS.

But this Jawa is more than that with the ‘dark’ theme being the main part of the design language. The Perak gets a blacked-out engine block, the twin exhausts are black too, a single seat with an integrated taillight.

And you only one color option…you guessed it, BLACK.

Jawa Perak test ride

Jawa Perak Test Rides

So this brings us neatly to the way Jawa is introducing the Rerak to potential and existing customers. Jawa Motorcycles commenced the Perak Fridays initiative throughout the country. The program entails ‘Night Rides’ led by the newly launched Jawa Perak across city streets and will offer customers a chance to test ride the Perak in its natural habitat – the after-hours and the dark.

How late you ask, these test rides take place after 9:30 pm. The Perak Friday’s concept of test rides in the dark is a country first, and this will evolve into a full-fledged night ride program for Perak owners once the deliveries commence in April 2020. Even Jawa and Jawa 42 owners, as well as local Jawa clubs, take part in these rides. Perak Fridays ride has taken place already in dealerships all across the country.
