Jawa 42 BS6 might not get the engine from Jawa Perak
Jawa Motorcycles has brought the Jawa 42 as a modern take on the classic Jawa. The vehicle has a neo-classic styling and appeals to the taste of the youth while retaining the original DNA of Jawa. Jawa 42 BS6 will be a bike to enable this bike to go into the BS6 era with ease. Now there is a miss leading news that both the existing Jawa bikes will get their engine from the Jawa Perak which has been unveiled with BS6 engine. We have talked about why both the existing bikes will get engine compliance instead of a direct engine borrowed from Jawa Perak.

95 lakhs. The price of the Jawa 42 now is Rs 1.55 lakhs. This means the Jawa Perak is approximately Rs 40,000 costlier than the Jawa 42. The Perak gets a more premium styling and the bike is separated from the entry-level bikes. If they give the Jawa 42 the same BS6 compliant engine as on the Jawa Perak then the pricing on the Jawa Perak won’t make much sense. The Jawa 42 and the Jawa Classic will remain as the entry-level bikes in the Jawa lineup. We are expecting an increase in price but a decrease of power on the BS6 models.
The current engine on the Jawa 42 is a 293cc engine. It produces a power of 27 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. The bike gets fuel injection and this will make it convenient to be made BS6 compliant. We might see a mild drop in power but this will not translate into a change in the feel of the bike. Whereas on the other hand if the bike gets the bigger 334 cc engine as on the Perak it will make some difference to the rider. The BS6 engine might become more silent and there will be some change in the catalytic converter.

The Jawa 42 gets a flat handlebar. It has an offset digital instrument cluster. The vehicle has an all-black frame and there is less use of chrome. The front forks also have a black finish. buy zovirax

Bar-end mirrors are offered as an additional accessory but they bring the neo-classic look. This bike is offered in 6 colours. Namely, Hallys Teal, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue, Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue and Comet Red. The bike is offered in a dual configuration for the ABS.
This bike gets dual disc setup whereas the classic also has an option of the rear drum brake.
Jawa Perak deliveries will start by April 2020. The bike has been a good take on the classic bobber design.
