Royal Enfield Thunderbird BS6 has been spotted quite a few times. Now the latest images of the vehicle show us the complete production model.

The bike is getting ready for BS6 update with all these features. We have mentioned all the new visible changes on this vehicle. We even have speculated a few engine changes that we can expect on this bike. So let’s first start with the engine.

The biggest change on the vehicle is that there is no kick on the bike. The gearbox also sees some change We can now expect a 6-speed gearbox. The over all engine looks compact as it has lost a lot of its retro bits like the kick. The throttle body now gets a casing which suggests that the vehicle will get Fuel Injection which will require an electronic controller. This change will be at the core of the BS6 model. Another change of the vehicle will be seen with the small exhaust pipe. This was the characteristic feature of the bike. The vehicle gets a catalytic converter in front of the rear wheel. This same setup is seen on the Royal Enfield Classic which was seen while being tested for BS6.

Coming to chassis of the vehicle, there is a change in the rider triangle. The footpegs have been placed two or three inches further which makes it a more like a cruiser. The seating has been made more relaxed.

The vehicle is also made on a new double-cradle chassis. The rear brake has been shifted to the right side and the chain has been shifted to the left side.

In the cosmetic department, there is a new single pod instrument cluster. The twin-pod system felt outdated and it also missed out on a gear indicator. We also hope to see a shift light indicator in this new cluster. It might get some more information like fuel efficiency and range. The company is also planning to get all LED lighting on the new vehicle. All this information is on the basis of the vehicle that was spied.

The rear if the bike also will have a drastic change. The tank of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird BS6 will also get slight modifications and the side panels will also be swept back. The company has finally decided to do away with the offset fuel tank which was on the older vehicle. The bike will also sport a new design for the alloy wheel with Y shaped spokes.
