2016 Ford EcoSport facelift caught at dealer stockyard
We’ve been bringing you regular updates on the upcoming, Ford EcoSport facelift for a while now. The indicators so far have been that the car would be launched before December 2015. However, this latest image (by a TeamBhp member who spotted it at a dealer stockyard) confirms that the company is indeed gearing up to launching the car very soon.
Cosmetically, there’s minimal changes in the facelift version on the 2016 Ford EcoSport. It will however, come in a new, ‘Golden Bronze’ colour. Else, from the image, there seems to be no other changes on the outside. Features wise, the 2016 Ford EcoSport should come with rain-sensing wipers and auto-headlamps. The SYNC infotainment system is likely to get a four-inch colour display and reverse parking camera. On the safety front, Ford is likely to offer the 2016 EcoSport with driver-side airbags as standard across all variants, with the front passenger getting an air-bag on the higher trim levels.
The 2016 Ford EcoSport will also get the 1.5 litre Tdci motor in 100 bhp, 215 Nm torque, which is the same as that on the Figo and the Figo Aspire. The 1.5 litre Ti-VCT & 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol power-plants are to continue unchanged.
