Hyundai Grand i10 2020 to miss out on Diesel

The i10 was a car that created some serious waves in the Indian market when it was launched. The car got a reputation of its own and its grand version was launched to give it more features and make it an even better car. Now Hyundai Motors is all set to launch the facelift version of the Hyundai Grand i10. The Facelift of the Grand i10 is expected by early 2020. This Vehicle will be a more tame version of the Hyundai grand i10 Nios. 

Hyundai Grand i10 2020 Launch

The launch of the facelift of the Grand i10 will be soon after the BS6 norms kick in. This vehicle has the underpinnings ready in the form of the Grand i10 Nios, which has already been launched in August 2019. The launch will take place in April 2020. There is a high chance that this vehicle will be seen at the Auto Expo 2020. The Hyundai Grand i10 won’t grab as much attention as the nios but this might boost the sales of the Nios.

Hyundai Grand i10 2020 India price

The price of the Grand i10 Nios ranges from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 8 lakhs. This will make it tough to price the Grand i10. The Price of the Grand i10 will range from Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 6.5 lakhs. This difference will be because the Grand i10 will not feature a diesel engine. It will be available in petrol and CNG. 

Hyundai Grand i10 2020 Engine

The Grand i10 2020 will be available only in a petrol variant. This will be on account of the BS6 norms. The diesel engine that’s on the Grand i10 nios won’t make it on this car. The main motive of this move is to keep the price in check. Moreover, the car appeals to a more mature audience whereas the Nios is for the teen. This makes it ideal for Hyundai to offer a more sedated variant of the car to this audience. The petrol engine is a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine. This engine produces a power of 81bhp and 113 Nm of torque. This engine feels very calm and composed to drive. This makes the car fun to drive in the city. This will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The automatic will be a 4-speed gearbox. It will be available in the mid variants.

On the design lines, the Hyundai Grand i10 will be visually similar to the nios. This car will differ in places where Nios becomes sporty. The bumpers and body cladding will be body-coloured. The shape of the daytime running lights on the front grill change. This will be the major change on the front. The front end of the Hyundai Grand i10 will get a big Hyundai logo. The grille will be low slung. This vehicle will miss out on the Dual-tone treatment. The rear of the vehicle looks very similar to a Tiago. This Grand i10 will also skip the chrome treatment. The rear window is big and wide which provides good visibility. There won’t be any rear wiper either.

Hyundai Grand i10 2020 Mileage

The Hyundai Grand i10 will give a mileage of 18.9 km/l. This also depends on the driving nature. This makes it a good city car. Mileage of the vehicle is the biggest advantage as the vehicle will be a daily car for many people.

Hyundai Grand i10 2020  Interior

The interiors of the Grand i10 2020 will be slightly different from the Nios. This car will get rexine seats. There will be a slight cost-cutting here. The use of premium materials will be avoided to keep the price competitive. This also means that the car will also miss out on rear AC vents. They will be available only on the topmost variants. The infotainment system will support Google Android Auto and Apple Carplay App. The Hyundai i10 facelift interiors will be upgraded with a new set of trim finishes in beige and black combinations with improvised quality.

The Grand i10 will meet the future Pedestrian Safety regulation, the lower stiffener is applied to front crash beam to improve pedestrian safety. Additionally, standard ABS with EBD, Emergency Stop Signal and Dual Airbags along with seatbelt pretensioners provide uncompromised safety.

The new Hyundai Grand i10 facelift 2020 will be competing with the Maruti Swift 2018, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo. Tiago and Celerio will be competing with the lower variants of the Grand i10.
