Yamaha will be launching the YZF-R3 on the 11th of August at BIC (Buddh International Circuit), its most-awaited 300cc motorcycle. Yamaha’s R3 is a 321cc liquid-cooled, two-cylinder engine that produces 41bhp of power and 29.6Nm of maximum torque.

The Yamaha R3 will be launched in India between INR 2.

5-3 lakhs (on-road) and this will be direct competition with the Ninja 300 and to some extent even the RC390 as well.

Yamaha has made the R3 by reboring the R25’s engine.

The Yamaha YZF-R3 gets ABS as a standard feature on other markets, however it could be an option for India. The suspension on the bike is the same telescopic front fork and the rear is a mono-shock. The bike has 50:50 weight distribution and there won’t be Deltabox Frame. The bike weighs about 169 kilograms and will have 2 into 1 exhaust. The fuel tank capacity will be 14 litres.

Yamaha has plans to launch more new bikes and scooters in the coming years be it performance or even the commuter segment. A new 100cc bike will be a major launch next year for the Japanese bike manufacturer.
