Yamaha has trademarked the NMax design for India. The NMax is a 155cc scooter that will be coming to India soon. Yamaha has been focusing on introducing performance bikes and at the same even introducing commuter bikes too. The Saluto is its attempt to make it large in the 125cc segment.

The Fascino is a 113cc scooter that has been introduced to attract those who are looking for affordable trendy scooters. The NMax is a 155cc and will be one of the first to come to India. The Japanese bike manufacturer is looking at introducing these scooters as both are powered by a single-cylinder four-stroke 155cc engine that produces about 15bhp of power and 14Nm of maximum torque. This engine will come mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission). From what our sources mention, the NMax will be launched first sometime in mid-2016.The price of the NMax will be about INR 95,000 (on-road).

 

This is modern-day scooter with 13-inch wheels, front and rear disc brakes, smoked headlamp. This is stylish and ideal for urban commuting. With 155cc engine, the power too should be sufficient to ride in cities. Yamaha will be showcasing these scooters at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo to get an opinion of the Indian audience. Yamaha wants to sell 1.2 million annual units by 2017. Hence, it will also be introducing a new 100cc motorcycle too in FY17.
