Renault Captur vs Hyundai Creta Comparison
Hyundai Creta has been one of the highest selling SUVs in its segment and this has affected the Renault Duster. The sales numbers have tumbled for the French SUV and Renault has worked on a strategy to counter the Creta. An all new premium looking SUV that does look stylish and Renault’s answer to the Creta. What does it offer? Which is a better choice? We do a detailed Renault Captur vs Hyundai Creta comparison. Read further.
Now, before we get into any details, we understand what are the reasons why Duster sales reduced.
The interior styling, features on offer are very basic when compared to the Creta. This does affect the buyers looking at spending in excess of Rs 10 lakhs on a vehicle. This is one reason why buyers started moving towards the Ford Ecosport and then the Hyundai Creta. Hence the Renault Duster AMT and the AWD was introduced. But not everyone needs an AWD and hence the company had to come up with a new solution. The Captur is the answer to the Creta. Now lets head to the comparison.
Renault Captur vs Hyundai Creta Design
The Hyundai Creta has a boxy design. There is a large front grille with chrome on it. The headlamps are rectangular with projector headlamps and daytime running LEDs. There is a lot of chrome on the front to make it look premium. The side profile is boxy and door pillars. Higher variant gets 17-inch wheels and these are diamond cut alloys. Lower variants get 16-inch wheels. The rear continues to have large and sleek tail lamps.
The number plate is located on the rear bumper and this makes the Creta look tall.
Renault Captur also has urban look. Front grille is sleek and headlamps also have a similar styling. The side profile gets crossover like styling and it doesn’t have muscular styling like the Duster. The rear has small tail lamps. The design is more of a crossover and urban styling. The length of the Captur is more than the Creta. This French sUV is longer. The design of this new SUV is similar to the Renault family, while the Duster is a part of the Dacia brand. So, the looks are similar to the Sandero, Logan and the Lodgy.

Renault Captur vs Hyundai Creta Interiors
Creta has black and beige interiors. There is a 7-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a large touchscreen infotainment system. There is navigation and even reverse camera, while there are four speakers and two tweeters also on offer. Dual airbags and ABS are a standard feature.
Top-of-the-line variant gets leather upholstery too. Creta has spacious interiors, but these are similar to the Duster in space. The boot is about 400 litres, which is just fine for a vehicle of this size.
Then Captur should have all black interiors. The dashboard layout is all new. The design is neat. A new steering wheel with audio and cruise control, push start and stop, touchscreen with navigation, reverse camera are the features. We reckon dual airbags and ABS will be standard too. Captur will have equally good space like the Creta. There won’t be much of a difference in the two. Boot space should be bigger on the Renault SUV.
