Upcoming Mahindra cars for 2022-23

Mahindra has already unveiled some of their plans for cars coming in near future. Some of the cars were already unveiled at the Auto Expo 2021. Here is the list of the cars from Mahindra which are expected to launch in 2023-2024.

Mahindra XUV500

Mahindra XUV500 had been in the market for 10 years. However the car was discontinued after the launch of XUV700. With that being said, Mahindra has not scrapped the XUV500 completely. The new XUV500 will be smaller than the current generation and will compete with C-segment SUVs. It will be a feature-loaded car and will mostly get the ADAS feature as well. As Mahindra is making safe cars, it will also be amongst the safest cars in India. The XUV500 will be targeted to compete with the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos and other latest entrants in the segment.

Mahindra Thar 5-door

The new generation of the Mahindra Thar was unveiled on 15th January 2021. Now, Mahindra is expected to launch the Thar in a five-door version as well. It would be completely based on the running model but with the two extra doors. Talking about the engine, It would run on the same engine as the Thar three-door.

This means it would carry on with 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The petrol engine is capable of producing the power figures of 148bhp & 300Nm of torque whereas the diesel engine produces 128bhp & 300Nm of torque. The gearbox used in both engines is a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The price would range between Rs 15 lakhs to Rs 18 lakhs (ex-showroom). The company is expected to launch the Thar five-door in India in 2023.

Mahindra cars 2023-24 – Mahindra eXUV300

Mahindra is going to launch the electric version of their sub-four-metre compact SUV, the XUV300 in the coming time. It will either be named eXUV300 but some sources state that it will be named XUV400. The eXUV300 will be built on Mahindra’s MESMA platform (Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture). It will be powered by a 150kW electric motor that makes 204bhp. It will get a battery pack of 60kWh. We can expect a range of about 400kms on a single charge. It will be priced at Rs 13 lakhs and the top model will go up to 18 lakhs. It is expected to launch in the year 2023.

Mahindra cars 2023-24 – Mahindra XUV900

The XUV900 will be a completely new product. It will have the body style of a coupe SUV. This will start a completely new segment in the market. As the name says, it will be an SUV with the rear end finished in coupe design. It will be powered by the latest Mahindra’s 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. It will be launched in the year 2023-2024. The XUV900 will be launched in India for Rs 25 lakhs.
