Hyundai is likely to bring 5 new cars into the market. Which are those? Let’s find out.

New Hyundai cars

Hyundai is working on a new sub-compact SUV which is set to rival the Tata Punch. The Tata car which has taken up this segment on fire would now have a potential competitor from the South Korean automaker. This new vehicle would use the same compact car K1 platform which also underpins the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. When on sale, it is likely to be the most affordable and smallest SUV from the brand. The powertrain options of this one could retain the 1.2-litre petrol mill paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. As far as pricing is concerned, it could be priced similarly to the Tata Punch.

The Verna has always been a salient moniker for the brand. The new gen car has been spotted a couple of times on Indian roads which is hinting towards its launch in the Indian market. The upcoming Verna which is set to get to a whole generation update would have a completely refreshed look, new features and most importantly -more space. The overall size of the car has been increased to cater for the needs of chauffeur-driven buyers resulting in more second-row space, new-age features and more. The launch of this car is expected this year with increased pricing due to the additional stuff its supposed to get.

Hyundai’s highest-selling car was presented in its second-gen avatar in the year 2020. Since then, it got added up with a couple of new variants, and some special editions to keep the flame ignited. However, now we can see the brand is planning on a proper facelift update for the car. It is about time that the Creta could receive a facelift with more features and equipment. Other than this, we could see Hyundai planning a facelift specifically for the Indian market and not just bringing it the Indonesian model right away. What changes could get? We can expect the connecting strip tail lamp, new front grille and more.

Hyundai affordable EV

Hyundai is planning on an affordable EV for the India after realising the need of the Indian market. Currently, where the electric share comprises of just 1% of the total car sales of India, the rise is suspected only if EVs are brought into the affordable sector. To tackle this very aspect, Hyundai is planning heavy localisation on this new EV under its 40 billion rupees investment plan. This plan would also retrieve 6 more EVs from the brand till 2028. Talking about the car, the overall dimensions of the vehicle could sit on a smaller side after understanding the dynamics of the Indian market. Hyundai is also working on a sustainable charging ecosystem by building a new network for the same.
