Rs 10 lakh Toyota seven seater coming soon
There was once a time when if you had to go outstation with your entire family then you had to book an MPV and the choice back then was Tata Sumo or the Qualis. Soon the Qualis got replaced by Innova and now its Innova Crysta which leads the MPV market. Toyota is planning to bring in an affordable MPV, a seven-seater that would be priced around Rs 10 lakhs. Toyota Seven Seater Design
The MPV from Toyota will be based on the Maruti Ertiga platform. Just like Toyota sells Glanza and Urban Cruiser which are Baleno and Brezza from Maruti. Similarly, Toyota could launch a seven-seater based on Ertiga or XL7. The design will be more premium and will be made available in top variants only. The car is expected to get LED headlamps and everything similar to the XL6.

Toyota Seven Seater Engine
The seven-seater car from Toyota is expected to get the same engine that seats under the hood of Maruti Ertiga. Maruti’s 1.5-litre petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission coupled with the hybrid system from Toyota. This car will also get an automatic transmission as an option.
Features
The Toyota seven seater is expected to come loaded with features like a reverse parking camera, front & rear parking sensors, ESP, connected car technology, and multiple airbags. Premium features like an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, a big touchscreen infotainment system, etc. will not be available.
Price and launch
Toyota has not declared anything officially regarding this new car. They might launch this new seven-seater by mid of 2022. The car is expected to be priced at around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The car should be overall Rs 30,000 more expensive than the Maruti XL6. Variants will include a mid variant, high variant and premium grade variant. All will be available with a manual or automatic gearbox.
Competition
The new seven-seater from Toyota will compete against Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL7, and Mahindra Marazzo.
