Maruti Celerio revealed ahead of launch
The new generation Maruti Celerio is one of most anticipated hatchbacks coming to Indian market soon. The car is getting a complete makeover and some big changes. And now, the design of the Maruti Celerio revealed its new avatar ahead of the launch. Maruti Celerio revealed – Design
The car we see in these pictures is the second generation Celerio. The new car gets a completely new design from the outgoing model. The new Maruti Celerio revealed now get less boxy and sharp design from its predecessor. The cars got a more rounded of profile, curves and bulges. The headlights are somewhat reminiscent of a Swift. It gets a whole new grille that here can be seen with a chrome strip running through its center. The bumper with the fog lamp housing is all new. The rear is very similar to the car we saw in the patent filings for this car. The tailamps are all new and the car gets dedicated handle for the boot. On the side the car get a tall boy profile with lift and pull style door handles. The rear view mirrors are body colored and get integrated turn indicators. Lastly, the car seen here gets black alloy wheels that we see on Maruti’s many Nexa products and it gives the car a sporty appeal.
Specifications and Features
The Maruti Celerio revealed has been spotted before and we already know some things about it. The car will be based on the companies Heartect platform that already underpins the Maruti WagonR with which this car will share a lot of parts and traits. The new generation Maruti Celerio will get better the 83bhp, 1.2-litre engine and the 1.0-litre three-cylinder K1o engine. Gearbox options will include a five speed manual and a AMT unit. We expect the car to get a CNG option as well at the time of launch or in the future.
In terms of features, the car will get the SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay from the WagonR. We expect this car to get a reverse parking camera in its top variants. Automatic climate control and smart start stop will be other features that will be provided with this car.
Price and Launch
We expect the new Maruti Celerio to be launched by the end of the month. Maruti has officially not revealed any timeline. We will soon be reviewing this car. In terms of pricing we expect the car to be priced from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 6.80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Maruti is known for it’s competitive pricing and we will see this car sit between the WagonR and Swift in the Maruti Arena line-up.
