The Vitara Brezza has a wheelbase of 2500mm and a ground clearance of 198mm. Looking at the numbers, both the SUVs have negligible differences in terms of their dimensions. However, Kia Sonet scores a point with its ground clearance here. Also, the Vitara Brezza offers a 328-litre boot space, whereas Sonet offers a 392-litre boot space.

Coming to the Vitara Brezza, the car is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. Brezza offers 16-inch wheels, with lower variants getting steel wheels and higher variants getting alloy wheels.

The Kia Sonet in its top-spec trim comes loaded with telematics features like geo-fence, app connectivity, Over The Air (OTA) updates, Find my car, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, the Korean SUV has ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESP, six airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ventilated front seats, reverse camera with guidance, Bose premium sound system, paddle shifters and electric sunroof, among others.

The Vitara Brezza offers two airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold control, reverse parking camera with sensors, a 12V power outlet, rain-sensing wipers, voice command and Android Auto, Apple CarPlay. However, the Vitara Brezza misses out on features like wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, sunroof and ventilated seats.

Although both the vehicles are similar in dimensions, the Maruti Vitara Brezza offers better space for the occupants inside the cabin. The Vitara Brezza will definitely score a point when it comes to safety. With a four-star Global NCAP rating, the Brezza is indeed the safer car here. However, the Sonet feels much more premium when compared to the Vitara Brezza due to the upmarket interiors and availability of modern features. Moreover, the Sonet offers better boot space.

So, if you want a car that comes loaded with features and power-packed petrol engines, the Kia Sonet will be the best bet for you.  However, if you are looking for a tough-build shell, want comfortable second-row space and features are not a big concern, the Vitara Brezza can be your buy.
