Hyundai Grand i10 Nios – Variants Explained!

The Hyundai i10 Grand Nios is currently sold alongside the Grand i10. The car is meant to be differentiated with a different design and a cheaper price. The car is available in a host of engine and transmission options. All of these are also available in the four variants of the Grand i10 Nios which are the Era, Magna, Sportz, Turbo and Asta. We break down the variants along with the features and recommend to you the best value for money variant below.

Engine and transmission

The Grand i10 Nios comes with two petrol engines and a diesel engine. The first is a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol which produces 81 bhp and 114 nm of torque. Then comes the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol. This produces 99 bhp and 172 nm of torque. Finally, the car also comes with a 1.2-litre diesel engine that produces 74 bhp and 190 nm of torque.

While the 1.0-litre turbo is only available with a manual gearbox, both other engines get the option of an AMT as well.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Era

This is the base variant of the Grand i10 Nios. It only comes with the option of the 1.2-litre petrol in manual format. This variant gets features like engine immobilizer, emergency stop signal, rear parking sensors, driver and front passenger-side airbags, ABS with EBD, power steering, manual AC, front power windows, front power outlet. This variant is priced at Rs 5.04 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Magna

This variant is available with the 1.2-litre petrol manual, 1.2-litre petrol AMT and the 1.2-litre diesel MT variant. Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Sportz

The Sportz trim is offered in the 1.2-litre petrol MT variant, 1.2-litre petrol AMT variant, 1.2-litre petrol dual-tone variant and the 1.2-litre diesel AMT variant. It also gets a different dual-tone variant. It will have features like projector fog lamps, rear-view camera, rear defogger, roof rails, shark fin antenna, ORVM integrated turn indicators, electrically foldable ORVMs, 5.3-inch digital speedometer with MID8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice recognition, automatic climate control, eco coating technology, projector headlamps (AMT and dual tone), 14-inch gunmetal finished alloy wheels (MT and AMT), 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels (dual-tone), all-black interiors with colour inserts (dual-tone), leather-wrapped steering wheel (dual-tone) and a wireless charger (dual-tone). Turbo

This is available with the 1.0-litre turbo mated to the manual gearbox. It has all the features that are available with the dual-tone Sportz variant. This is priced at Rs 7.73 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Asta

The top-of-the-line variant is available with a 1.2-litre petrol manual and AMT, and the 1.2-litre diesel manual. It gets additional features like smart-key with push-button start/stop, cooled glove box, adjustable rear headrests, rear wiper/washer and a luggage lamp. This is priced between Rs 7.18 lakhs and Rs 8.04 (ex-showroom). The Sportz variant is the most value for money variant here. It gets a lot of additional features as well.
