2017 Ford Fiesta Preview

2017 Ford Fiesta has been spotted on test, however Car and Driver Brasil has been rendering of it. This new hatchback looks a lot more stylish. Most of the Fords now have the Aston Martin like front grille, and this includes the Fiesta too. However, the new one gets an update. This reminds of the current Jag XJ. Some spy images of the new 2017 Ford Fiesta have been revealed.

The new Ford Fiesta will follow the Kinetic Design and a lot of design cues will be taken from the current one. The new Fiesta that has been snapped has been highly camouflaged, so not much could be said about it.

The new Polo is growing in size and Ford will want the new Fiesta see an increase in dimensions too. The rear of the Fiesta reminds us of the new Endeavour. There is a thick chrome slat that runs across. The new Fiesta will be sharper in styling.

More cabin space will be one of the key criteria on the new Fiesta. This new hatchback will get better quality and at the same time even  more features too. A touchscreen system will feature for the first time on the Fiesta. One of UK’s highest selling hatchback will get a major upgrade.

Ford is betting high on this new upcoming hatchback to retain its top spot. Ford’s new SYNC3 will also be a part of this premium hatchback.

2017 Ford Fiesta Engine

There is no announcement on the engines on the new Fiesta. There won’t be a major change in the engines offered. The 1.0-litre EcoBoost will be offered on the Fiesta, while the 1.3-litre diesel has been the favourite in Europe. Fiesta is looking at capturing the market share in the performance segment too. So, a Fiesta ST is also in the making. Ford will want to continue with the good driving dynamics of the Fiesta, and hence it is retaining the same platform. This means that the product costing will also see a reduction.

2017 Ford Fiesta Release Date

The new hatchback will be launched by late 2017. Deliveries will commence by early 2018. Ford will want to get the Fiesta out before the new Polo has been launched, but the Polo will be launched much earlier.

2017 Ford Fiesta rivals

The 2017 Ford Fiesta will rival against the new Volkswagen Polo, Honda Fit/Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Baleno and the Hyundai Elite i20. Even the new Polo has seen an increase in its dimensions.
