The Hero Xtreme 200r is the sportiest offering from Hero. The bike gets dual disc brakes and ABS.

The 200cc 2 valve engine makes 18bhp and 17Nm of torque. The bike gets a combination of the an digital speedometer and an analogue tachometer for its intrument instrument cluster. The bike serves as a perfect balance for the rider in being a commuter bike and showing off its sporty nature. The bike gets telescopic suspension at the front and at the rear it gets a 8 way adjustable monoshock suspension. The Xtmere 200R gets tubeless 17-inch tyres at the front and the rear. The Hero Xtreme 200R is a great bike for daily use too. Apart from the usual specs, the bikes design is a little underwhelming and is not the type of look that will set your heart racing. The front is plane and the headlight has a halogen lamp. The tail-lights do get a LED unit but are not the best looking in the business. The most exciting part of the bike has to be the graphic in the fuel tank. It is the only part of the bike that shouts I’M SPORTY!

The Xtreme 200R could have been a better looker, but we think that Hero will want to make sure that the bike also appeals to the rider upgrading from a normal Hero Splendor and the change is not to ‘Xtreme'(no pun intended) This Hero is going to take on the Pulsars and the Apaches available in our country. In the below video we put it through it’s paces and give you a comprehensive verdict.
