Indian Roadmaster Elite launched at ₹ 48 lakhs

Indian Motorcycle has launched its most premium touring bike – the Indian Roadmaster Elite. This new bike is the first launch of 2018, By Indian. The Indian Roadmaster Elite comes with new features and  a custom-inspired dual tone candy paint which is handcrafted with real 23K Gold leaf badging on the tank.

Indian Roadmaster Elite Price in India

Indian Roadmaster Elite is priced at Rs. 48 lakhs (ex-showroom). This is the price pan-India. This is the flagship motorcycle of the company. Indian is launching several of its models in the country and is also increasing its footprint across India, by opening new dealerships.

Indian Roadmaster Elite Specifications

The Indian Roadmaster Elite is powered by a 1811cc Thunder-stroke V-twin engine that also powers the standard Roadmaster. This engine churns out a peak torque of 150Nm at 2900 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike is built with lightweight and strong cast aluminium frame. This offers good low-speed handling and better stability while maneuvering and also on highways. The Roadmaster Elite weighs 433kgs, which is quite heavy.

Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director and Country Head, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., handed over the keys of the most luxurious motorcycle to Mr. Swaranjit Singh Bajaj, 1st owner of Indian Roadmaster Elite. The dual-tone candy paint 23K gold leaf badging marks the uniqueness of this product. It also features the Indian Motorcycle Ride Command System, which is a pinch, touch, swipe solution for information essential for riders. This product has an attitude for riders looking for the best of the machines.”

Only 300 units will be available worldwide, out of which only one unit is currently allocated to India and it is sold. However, the company states that another unit will be made available soon. Each motorcycle will come with a custom dual-tone blue and black colour scheme, which is hand painted and can take as long as can take up to 30 hours to complete. There is also a a 23-carat gold leaf Indian insignia on the fuel tank.
