Fastest SUV in the world – Which is it?

This is the fastest SUV in the world. It is the Nissan Qashqai, which has been completely overhauled. This make-over has been done by Severn Valley Motorsport,which is a tuning company based in the UK. This SUV gets the heart of a Nissan GT-R, which is a 3.

8-litre beast. It belts out a devastating power of 2000bhp!

Isn’t it mind blowing? SVM wanted to get in to the record books and thus they have built this very different Godzilla.

The Nissan Qashqai-R, as it is called, hit a top speed of 382.7 km/h.  On a runway at the VMax 200 event this feat was achieved by beating the Koenigsegg Agera RS, considered as the fastest production car. It managed 356 km/h, on the runway.

The SUV stunned everybody by beating this supercar. Severn Valley Motorsport will be releasing a video of this drag run showing the fastest SUV very soon.

The Nissan Qashqai-R has broken this record which was previously held by the Toyota Land Cruiser. The land cruiser had hit a top speed of 370 km/h. The Qashqai-R not only went on to beat that record, but it stunned everyone by going past the Koenigsegg Agera RS. Would have been quite embarassing for the super car.

The Nissan GT-R is one of the most aspired cars in the world and is known to provide that raw feel. After this feat, the Qashqai is also expected to be looked upon in a different way, for being the fastest SUV. Nissan has always been known to produce some brilliant cars like the Skyline, 370Z and the GT-R.

Recently, it has been rumoured that Renault-Nissan may end their joint-venture and form a new combined organization, to benefit and take on bigger companies like Volkswagen and Toyota. In India, while Renault has been selling decent volumes, Nissan has not been doing well in the domestic market. It would need a new product line-up to revamp its sales volumes.
