The 2018 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster has been launched at INR 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Triumph is quite a promosing motorcycle and adds up to the already big fleet of the British brand. It is based on the standard Bonneville Bobber. The Bonneville Speedmaster is built on the same tubular steel cradle frame that underpins the Bobber. Unlike the Bobber, this one has a pillion seat. The Bonneville Speedmaster has retro styling. It features a ‘hard-tail’ look and has machined engine fins. The carburettor-like throttle body also is featured on this bike. The Speedmaster will compete with the Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom and the Street Bob. The Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster is powered by a 1200cc High Torque, liquid cooled, parallel twin engine. It offers segment leading torque figure of 106Nm at 4000rpm. This figure is about 42 percent more than the 2015 Speedmaster and also 10 percent more than the current Bonneville T120. The engine churns out a mx power of 76bhp. The engine comes mated to 6-speed  transmission. There is a new stainless steel exhaust. The exhaust note is now deeper delivers a rich sound.

The Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster comes with a 5-inch full LED headlamp. It gets new daytime running lights (DRLS) and an LED taillamp. The turn indicators and licensing plate light are also LEDs. The bike also gets a battery-box and a pillion seat is optional. Tis bike gets a new ride-by-wire throttle. It has  with two riding modes, which are Road and Rain. ABS is standard and there is also switchable traction control available. To prevent rider fatigue, there is a torque assist clutch. There is also a single button cruise control for more convenience. A larger 12-litre fuel tank is fitted on this bike. This increases its range.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 2018 Brakes and Suspension

The Speedmaster is shod with 310mm twin-discs upfront with two piston Brembo callipers and a 255mm single disc brake with single piston Nissin callipers at the rear. Suspension includes 41mm front forks with 90mm travel a monoshock at the rear with 73mm travel and a preload adjuster.

 

The Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster reduces emissions and offers a service interval of 16,000km, which is segment first. There are 130 custom accessories available with this motorcycle. These are violable at all Triumph dealerships across India.
