TVS prestige will be the next new bike from the Indian manufacturer. This will be a new 100cc motorcycle. As an entry level bike, it will compete with the likes of Hero Splendor and also the Honda Dream series. The TVS Prestige will be priced well and the company will aim at capturing a bigger share in the 100cc motorcycle segment. It will share its engine will the TVS Sport. However, it will look more premium and also have a better seat, hence more comfortable.

TVS wants to be a hit in most segments. The recently launched Apache RR310 has become a success and has redefined its segment. The TVS Ntorq 125 scooter is also making waves. The new entry level Prestige will be another option for buyers in this segment. The TVS Prestige is likely to be priced around INR 49,000 (on-road). The bike will have a sleeker styling and more comfort as compared to the TVS Sport.

TVS Prestige Launch Date

The new 100cc bike is expected to be launched by mid 2018. This would likely be around August 2018. Currently, TVS is focussing on its distribution of the Apache RR 310 and also the Ntorq 125.

TVS Prestige Specifications

The new motorcycle will be powered by the same engine that is found in the TVS Sport. This is a 99.7cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine. The maximum power it churns out would be about 7bhp. A 4-speed gearbox will be fitted along with this engine.

TVS Prestige Mileage

The Prestige would return around 80-85 km/l of mileage. This would be in regular riding conditions. The company claimed mileage for the TVS Sport is 97 km/l.

TVS Prestige Top Speed

The bike would have a top speed of around 85 km/h. Being a commuter bike, it is best suited to be ridden between 50-70km/h.

The TVS Prestige Will be based on the TVS Sport. However, It will have a more premium styling. The body graphics will be subtle. The overall design will be similar to the Sport, but the Prestige will get a longer seat, which will have better cushioning. The instrument cluster  will also be different and mostly be an analogue/digital combination.The Headlamp will be a regular halogen one, and there is a LED DRL also expected dot be fitted in the bike.

The new TVS bike will get blackened five spoke alloy wheels. This bike will not have disc brakes. Regular drum brakes will do duty on it. The engine will also get a black treatment. This will make it look more premium. There will be telescopic suspension at the front and the rear will see a set of twin shock absorbers.

TVS Prestige Competition

The Prestige will compete mainly with the Hero Splendor, Honda Dream also the Bajaj Platina. TVS plans to have a higher market share in the 100cc segment.
