UM Renegade Thor electric bike unveiled at Auto Expo 2018

UM (United Motorcycles) of Lohia group, has unveiled a new electric bike at the Auto Expo 2018. This is the UM Renegade Thor. The UM Renegade Thor will be one of the early entrants in the electric motorcycle category and the first electric cruiser in the world.

UM Renegade Thor Electric Price in India

The price of the UM Renegade Thor starts around INR 4.9 lakhs and goes upto 9.9 lakhs, depending upon the performance. This will be the only electric bike in its category. With a range of around 150 km on a single charge, it is energy efficient as well as economical to use.

UM Renegade Thor Electric Specifications

The UM Renegade Thor Electric uses an all-new platform. This platform will be used for future electric motorcycles from the company. A 30KW electric motor powers the UM Renegade Thor. Around 50 bhp is the power of this motor that will propel the motorcycle. The torque it will generate is around 70Nm. Tacita Electric Motorcycles of Italy manufactures this electric motor and UM will be sourcing it from them.

The UM Renegade Electric bike is believed to have a performance which is equivalent to a 600cc motorcycle. There is a five-speed transmission mated to this motor and it is a water-cooled bike. The motorcycle can go 150kms on a single charge. Fast charging is available as the batteries are lithium ion ones. The batteries can be charged to about 80 percent in 40 minutes. The Footpegs of the Thor have a 3-step adjustment.
